Arts Blast 3

Isambard students took part in Arts Blast 3 from 13 - 26 July - when curriculum based subjects were delivered using arts activities. Year 8s discovered War and Peace through an Alien invasion, while Year 7s looked at Southern Ocean by making boomerangs.
Year 7s also made Pandora boxes, looked at the history of Aboriginal art, had a go at mosaic painting, and dreamtime storytelling.
Along with the Alien invasion Year 8s looked at:
- ration books/wartime foods
- war propoganda
- the truce in the trenches and modern war poetry
- creating music representing peace and war - led by local band Alfonz, who appeared at Glastonbury this year.
